DRAFTING INTERIOR DESIGN
In Drafting Interior Design, I learned how to properly use the different tools needed for completing hand drafted projects, then I applied that knowledge and completed a project consisting of a residential floor plan, electrical plan, furniture plan, and an enlarged floor plan of the bathroom along with elevations. I worked on this project, known as the Weigang House, throughout the semester.
Weigang House
For this project, I was given an existing floor plan of a home located in Germany that had no dimensions, but was printed in the 1/8 inch scale. I had to measure the given floor plan and dimension it, then took those dimensions and hand drew it in the 1/4 inch scale. I was asked to draw a floor plan, electrical plan, furniture plan, and an enlarged bathroom floor plan with elevations.
